        THE Library on campus at The University of Kentucky! UK is home to several libraries on campus for example the Fine Arts Library and the Health/ Science Library. They all are simply no match for the ginormous library located on Rose Street/ University Drive, William T Young Library! The library opened in April of 1998 and has been going very strong ever since. The library bears the name of the man that reins from Lexington, Ky by the name of William T. Young. Willie was a businessman and a horse breeder. The main reason that the library was named after him was because he made a 5 million dollar contribution to the renovation of the library.

      According to http://libraries.uky.edu/libpage.php?lweb_id=266&llib_id=14 the library consists of 4,000 seats for patrons, and measure at approximately 365,000 in square footage. This making it the largest collegiate library in the United States. It also has around 1.2 million books contained inside so basically, if you cant find a book inside this place then you aren't going to find it! The building also has 6 elevators that has access to all five floors and will be accessible to all people with physical disabilities. 

     I think by far the biggest benefit to Willie T. is that is open all 24 Hours of all day! So regardless of your class, work, or personal schedule you will always have this library at your access whenever you want to pay a visit! Access to this library is granted without Student ID until 10 PM, after this time until 6 am. So if you are planning a visit within those times makes sure you have your student ID on you.

If you study better in groups there are group work stations, or if you study better alone or are trying to isolate yourself there are private study rooms that are complete silence. This library has anything you need, any kind of resource or connection to help you succeed in the classroom is in here!

   I personally think that for students this place is by more the best place to study and the most resourceful! In your time here at UK you will spend many hours inside of Willie T so make them count! We have the most amazing library of any college in the United States. We should all be very proud of that!
